Coffee Story: Finca La Estrella is a 1.5 hectare property owned by John Bermudez Alexander in the rolling hills of Urrao, a region in the valley of Rio Pendarisco.  John, with the help of his wife Genny and eldest daughter, produced this 100% Chiroso micro-lot.  The Chiroso variety has been gaining popularity in the region, it is well-suited to colder climate of Urrao and known for it’s distinctive and complex flavour characteristics

Because of the cooler climate at La Estrella, farmers like John will ferment their coffees longer than usual, often blending several days’ worth of pickings over a 3-5 day period.  This creates vibrant acidity in the cup.

This coffee will be roasted fresh. Red Brick Coffee roasts every Monday and Wednesday and dispatch Tuesday and Thursday.
