Coffee Story:  A pulped natural processed coffee produced by Jose Santana and his family on their 4-hectare farm, Sitio Gerais. Sitting at 1,350 masl, Jose’s farm is located in the unique coffee growing micro-region of Gerais. With high elevations and low temperatures, coffee grown in this region matures slowly, resulting in higher sugar concentration and an overall sweeter, more floral cup. Jose works on the farm with his wife Magali and son Fabrico, along with 12 seasonally employed workers. This Red and Yellow Catuaí lot was carefully handpicked and mechanically pulped. It was then dried on raised beds for 10-20 days with the mucilage still attached. To ensure consistency, the lot was raked several times each day. This well-balanced coffee has been roasted for espresso to showcase its rich notes of dark chocolate and cherry sweetness.
