Coffee Story: This coffee was grown at Finca Liquidambar in the San Marcos region of western Honduras. The Farm is certified organic, and reserves 25% of the 56 hectare property for natural forest. The farm repurposes the coffee cherry waste into fertiliser, and treats wastewater so that it can safely re-enter the ecosystem. Both permanent and seasonal workers are provided with training, housing, sustenance and healthcare.
The ripe cherries are picked and delivered to a local drying station where they are dried on raised African beds for 25 – 35 days, depending on the weather.
