Coffee Story: Kagongo is a single origin bean from Kenya. Kagongo is a Kikuyu name meaning “higher ground” as the factory for this bean lies on the Southern Slopes of Mount Kenya. Built in 1959 the cooperative is now part of one of the largest in Kenya with almost 12,000 farmers and 12 washing stations. The ripe cherries are depulped and fermented for 24-36 hours depending on the environmental temperatures. The beans are then put to dry on African beds for up to 20 days.
This coffee will be roasted fresh for you. Grouch & Co will roast your coffee Monday-Friday and dispatch on these days.
