Hidden behind our lively coffee bar is our roastery, where we profile, cup, and roast the coffee brewed and sold daily at our bar. Back there, we take the craft of roasting very seriously. Our green buyer, Ben has established strong farm relationships, a refined palette, and an eye for outstanding coffee.
With one foot in sensory science and the other deep in roasting theory, our head roaster Janine is always striving to learn and apply new understanding to roasting. Over the years, Joe Bean is proud to have won a Good Food Award as well as multiple Golden Bean Awards for our coffee.
Located in Rochester, New York, a region known for rich agriculture & creative innovation, we are always looking for new opportunities to bring the abundance of our region out to others.
