Alternative Home Brewing Methods

Alternative Home Brewing Methods

Majority of people who make their own coffee at home in Australia use a Breville/Delonghi coffee machine or a Nespresso machine (Don’t forget we can provide you with specialty coffee for all those delivered to your door each month)

There is so many ways to brew coffee these days its not funny. Each type of method produces a different taste to the cup. The Barker St team play around with plenty of brewing methods at home and the below list is what we like most.

We have attached “How to” videos to each one so you can start making it like a pro.

Aeropress

The AeroPress is a device for brewing coffee. It was invented in 2005 by Aerobie. Coffee is steeped for 10–50 seconds (depending on grind and preferred strength) and then forced through a filter by pressing the plunger through the tube.

If you would like to have specialty beans for your Aeropress delivered straight to your door each month simply select “espresso” grind at the checkout.

Minipresso

With little efforts, Minipresso helps you prepare amazing espresso shots, with a quality close to traditional machine.

If you would like to have specialty beans for your Minipresso delivered straight to your door each month simply select “espresso” grind at the checkout.

We sell the Minipresso in our store.

Chemex

The Chemex Coffeemaker is a manual, pour-over style glass-container coffee maker which was invented in 1941.

If you would like to have specialty beans for your Chemex delivered straight to your door each month simply select “filter” grind at the checkout.

Bodum French Press

The reason the French press coffee maker has become one of the most popular coffeemakers in the world is pure and simple, taste. The materials (glass and stainless steel) are completely taste-free so nothing comes between your ground coffee beans.

If you would like to have specialty beans for your French Press delivered straight to your door each month simply select “filter” grind at the checkout.

Moka Pot

The moka pot, is a stove-top or electric coffee maker that produces coffee by passing boiling water pressurized by steam through ground coffee.

If you would like to have specialty beans for your Moka Pot delivered straight to your door each month simply select “espresso” grind at the checkout.
